1. Hold your keys while you are away
2. Ensure the security system is working properly
3. Check refrigerator/freezers for proper operation
4. Examine water heater
5. Assess heat/AC systems for proper operation
6. Review heat oil and/or gas levels
7. Check fire/smoke/CO2 alarms
8. Inspect air filters
9. Move patio furniture in/out with the seasons
10. Check pool if applicable
11. Investigate any bait traps and reset if necessary
12. Water plants as needed and check moisture levels
